Anyone over the age of 9 of a certain size can shoot at the E. J. Churchill Shooting Ground.
On any of our shooting packages, except Simulated Game Days the ideal group size is between 4 and 6 per instructor.
We provide all safety equipment needed and guests are always accompanied by a fully qualified instructor.
Guests should dress in comfortable clothing and footwear for the weather conditions. The shooting ground is accessed via gravel paths, so solid shoes or boots are more than adequate. For events such as Simulated Game Days, Fishing Days and Country Activity Days, waterproof footwear would be advisable in poor weather conditions.
Tuition is available on all of our shooting days and guests do not need to have shot before.
Guests can bring their own gun and ammunition, but we do ask that they bring their shotgun certificate with them. Only fibre wad cartridges may be used on the grounds.
You do not need a shotgun licence to shoot on our ground.
You do not need additional insurances to shoot on the ground.
We shoot in almost all weather conditions and ask that guests come appropriately dressed for the weather conditions.
The lodge and the majority of shooting stands have disabled access. If guests have any special requirements or need extra time please call us in advance to arrange this.
The only requirements we have are that the guests are over 9 years old and do not have any criminal convictions. We will do our best to accommodate any guest that meets these requirements.
